Ron Penna
Chief Strategy Officer
Ron Penna is Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Awareness Technologies, Inc. Ron has over nineteen years as an entrepreneur and senior executive, having built and sold several companies in that time.
Prior to starting Awareness Technologies, Ron co-founded and sold Search Engine Performance Group, a highly sophisticated Search Engine Optimization company which counted many of the world's largest and most high profile companies as its clients. Ron was able to use his strong team building skills and broad knowledge of technology to organize a group of highly diverse individuals and galvanize them into a cohesive group that grew from zero to almost $30 million in sales in less than two years. Search Engine Performance Group was ultimately acquired because of its innovative technology and high EBITDA by 24/7 Media (TFSM) in August of 2000.
After the SEPG exit, Ron began consulting with several intelligence agencies to help them address using sophisticated monitoring software to address the growing terrorist threat. Ron realized that his experience in hunting the ultimate prey - terrorists - had given him the knowledge with which to create the ultimate enterprise internal threat security software - InterGuard.
With that in mind, and recognizing the need of all organizations to monitor computer use and communications, Ron co-founded Awareness Technologies.
